Michael's Car ServiceMichael Alexander
Michael Alexander, portrait in daylight

How you start and end a trip matters.

I'm Michael Alexander. I drive people out of Santa Rosa, mostly to the airport and back, sometimes to an appointment in the city and home again afterwards. One car, one driver, and a phone I answer myself.

Conversation when you want it. Quiet when you need it.

  • Happy to chat
  • A quiet ride
  • Whatever you feel like on the day

The hour nobody wants.

An 8am flight out of SFO means leaving your home around 4:50am. Nobody is at their best at that hour. You've barely slept, you're running through a list in your head, and the last thing you need is to be standing on your drive wondering whether a car is actually coming. I'll already be outside.

I'll be there when I said I'd be there.

Your time is booked, and I'm not deciding on the morning whether the trip is worth taking. If your flight moves, I move with it.

You'll know who's coming.

Same driver, same car, every time. You'll have my number and I'll have yours, so you're never wondering who's about to pull up outside your house in the dark.

I pay attention.

Some people talk the whole way. Some shut their eyes and would rather not be spoken to until we arrive. Some want a hand with a case, or the heating up, or the radio off. You shouldn't have to ask twice.

See where I go and what I do

Three kinds of trip.

Airport runs.

Down to SFO before it gets light, and back again when you land. Oakland too, and Sonoma County if you're flying from there.

Appointments.

A hospital visit, a meeting in the city, anything you'd rather not drive to and then find parking for. I'll take you, and I'll be outside when you come out.

Round trips.

If you'd rather I waited and brought you home afterwards, say so when you book. I'll treat it as one trip, not two.

Meet Michael

I didn't set out to be anybody's regular driver. But that's how it has gone. People book me the first time because they need a ride, and after that because they'd rather it was me. Somewhere along the way I worked out that the driving is the easy part.

Call or text and we'll have it sorted in a couple of minutes. No app to download, no account to set up, and you'll be talking to me rather than a dispatcher.
